Dear Paul,

A visitor from England.

The most striking aspect of your perspective in your 'seemingly' strange world is that 'Mission' is so central and visible.

I think this is great and incredibly important - but it confuses me that in England where we have the NHS which should engender a true sense of mission - it so rarely features.

How do we get our CEOs to understand this?

I recently relocated from MA to GA and am an ED director down here. It's interesting reading your blog and keeping touch with the goings-on in MA and your insights into healthcare management today.

Dear Paul
I live in Wales, not England, so that gives you another country and an entry for W in your list, although I read via Bloglines :-)
